ChristmasWeekend at Rosersbergs Castle
Our first king from the Bernadotte dynasty was the French-born Jean Baptiste. He inherited Rosersberg Palace and used it as a summer residence together with his queen, Desideria. When Jean Baptiste—by then renamed Charles XIV John—passed away, Desideria took up residence at Rosersberg Palace and remained there until her death in 1860.
Desideria held a deep love for her homeland France, and because of this, there is a strong connection to France in both the history and interior design of the palace. We have embraced this French affection and serve a traditional Christmas buffet with a French touch in the palace dining rooms.
Check in during the afternoon and enjoy a stay with someone you care about.
Stroll through the forests surrounding the palace or relax with a drink in one of the cozy lounge armchairs. You are warmly welcomed to the palace dining rooms to enjoy our Christmas buffet with a French twist, ending with a spectacular dessert table. Finish the evening in the lounge with a cup of coffee or perhaps a glass of wine, enjoy each other's company, and play a game of billiards. Then drift off to sleep in one of our beautiful hotel rooms and wake up refreshed to a generous breakfast buffet.
Tip! Start the stay with a herling hike. Add hiking supplements in the next step, we will then prepare a backpack with lunch bag and a map with
fantastic hiking trails.
